The Challenge
VERO was an independent social network with the best UX, UI and privacy credentials on the market.
It was also 100% ad-free and algorithm-free. What it wasn't was Facebook or Instagram - and while this difference garnered a loyal community of creators and fans, it wasn't enough to flip the script on the established platforms who were still our direct competitors.
The Spark
We began conversations with Tokenise, the world's first fully regulated stock exchange for tokenised securities.
It became clear to us that this wasn't just a crypto investment opportunity - there was a mass application here, to unlock equity in the things people - normal people, millions of them - really cared about. All that was needed was a way of organizing and activating them.
The Breakthrough
We brokered a merger between VERO and Tokenise: creating an integrated platform where creators and IP owners could harness the power of their fanbases to generate new value and organic support, and fans could come together andm take ownership of the things they love. VERO was no longer "another social challenger". It was now the only social economy.
The Impact
The shift immediately changed the conversation.
VERO was no longer pitched as an additional social channel, but as a new kind of media partner offering value, control and participation that traditional platforms couldn't match. This unlocked partnerships with the world's biggest entertainment properties, to build their own fan-powered ecosystems from the ground up, on VERO.
